Recommended dimensions, formats, and file-size budgets for every image you upload to Radiation Effect. Following these keeps pages sharp and fast on mobile.

Series cover

  • Keep the title and key art centered — the home and series hero crop to 21:9 on wide screens, trimming the top and bottom.
  • Avoid small text; covers are shown as far down as 350 px tall on phones.
  • Export sRGB WebP at quality 80 to stay under the file-size budget.

Episode cover

  • The home hero fills the slide and crops with the center kept in frame, so keep the subject centered.
  • Series cards show the same image at 16:9.
  • Export sRGB WebP at quality 80 to stay under the file-size budget.

Where it appearsThe vertical-scrolling reader. Segments stack top-to-bottom with a gutter between them.
  • Export exactly 800 px wide, or 1600 px for retina sharpness (it is displayed at 800 CSS px).
  • Keep each segment no taller than ~1600 px. Split tall pages into multiple segments so images stream and lazy-load smoothly.
  • Upload segments in reading order; filenames are ignored but order of selection is preserved.
  • Flatten transparency — the reader background is near-black (#0a0a0f).

Video thumbnail / poster
